About Us

After leaving London in 2017, husband and wife team Charlotte and Luke Giddings moved to the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk in the hope of creating a food and drink business.

They had an idea to take Luke’s Mother’s secret family brownie recipe and launch a mobile café with this recipe as the focal point.

In 2019, Charlotte and Luke lovingly converted an old horse trailer and launched their business operating across East Anglia. Of course no one could have guessed what was around the corner, but thinking on their feet, they decided to close the hatch of their trailer permanently and expand their brownie recipe range (offering doorstep deliveries of brownies during lockdown).

The doorstep brownies proved to be a success, so they immediately decided to offer their brownies across the UK selling via their website and to businesses via wholesale.

Fast forward to today and they now make a wide range of goods for retail from fudge, to cookies, to Victoria Sponge Cakes, including vegan bakes and ranges which are made without gluten. They also cater for corporate gifting, weddings, events and parties all over the UK.

Traditional recipes and methods are at the heart of what they do. Baking in small quantities, by hand, using family taught skills and knowledge.

They use local ingredients wherever possible; eggs from their local farm, flour with Norfolk grown wheat, sugar produced in Bury St Edmunds, British butter and ethically produced chocolate, manufactured in the UK. Throughout the seasons they forage for, or grow the fruit you find in your jams and toppings.

All of the packaging they use is either recyclable and often compostable (with the exception of food-safe greaseproof paper). Environmentally friendly practices in the production of your gifts are fundamental to the business.

For the future, expect to see their range of cakes and bakes extended, but always staying true to their passion for hand crafted elements and small batch baking.
