We started off as a mobile cafe operating across East Anglia 5 years ago, but the global pandemic forced us to close the hatch of our beloved horse trailer. Thinking on our feet, we decided to start doing doorstep deliveries of our brownies in 2020. We got to meet loads of you lovely folk in person as we made our deliveries and we’re so proud to say that you stuck by us from day 1.
Navigating a start-up during a global pandemic was definitely not for the faint hearted and we can honestly say we have the wrinkles to prove it.
Whilst out on my deliveries early on in lockdown, I got lost and asked a local Post Office for help. They gave me such great directions and really went the extra mile to make sure I made my delivery. Naturally, I wanted to say thank you. So I popped into my boot and gave them a brownie box. They then called me and asked if we’d like to supply their Post Office and so our wholesale journey began.
Over the years we’ve evolved into a trusted partner for businesses all over the country. Our handcrafted cakes and bakes grace the menus of cafes, pubs, bars, and restaurants. We get a serious squeal of excitement every time we see our goods on display somewhere. It’s amazing to think how far we’ve come!
Each cake we create is meticulously handmade, and every mouthwatering sauce, praline, jam, and curd is a testament to Bean Daddy’s dedication to his craft.
As a small family business, we’re deeply committed to supporting other small businesses. Our eggs, flour, and sugar are locally sourced, and we couldn’t be happier to showcase these homegrown ingredients in our baking.
