When I became a business owner, I could never have imagined the incredible path this journey would take me on. Over the course of seven years, we have experienced so many crazy, amazing opportunities that still blow my mind. Looking back at just the last six months in our business, we have already achieved so many massive goals.
Firstly, we started the year by pitching to Theo Paphitis, Katie Piper, and Dr. Raphael Sofoluke for a prize. Winning that £2500 NatWest award gave us a massive boost right at the beginning of the year. I’ve also travelled to London to enjoy an inspiring lunch with Simon Woodroffe, the founder of Yo! Sushi. I’ve attended plenty of fantastic training sessions and made invaluable connections during some wonderful local networking days.
Recently, I enjoyed the incredible hospitality box at the Arsenal football stadium alongside some truly inspiring female entrepreneurs. I never thought that running a business could stay this exciting and I feel lucky to call this my job.
We have done plenty of reflecting recently because this month marks a huge milestone for our growing company. It’s our brownie birthday this month, celebrating seven wonderful years since our original launch back in 2019. So much has changed since then that those early days honestly feel like a completely different lifetime ago.
I feel so incredibly proud of how far Bean Daddy and I have come together as a team. We celebrate fourteen years together this month, meaning we have spent half of our relationship running this business. What will the next seven years bring for the passionate team here at Brownie and the Bean? Hopefully, we will continue bringing joy and our signature brownie disco vibes to millions of UK households.
