Yesterday delivered one of those rare days where work and childhood dreams collided. I left the event buzzing with energy, sugar, and nostalgia. The highlight? I jumped inside the famous globe and grabbed tickets just like contestants on The Crystal Maze. As a kid, I never missed an episode. It ranked at the very top of my favourite shows of all time. So when the opportunity appeared, I didn’t hesitate. I stepped straight in and lived the moment – Yass.
But how does a game show memory connect to brownies?
Let me explain.
We received an invitation from NatWest to join their internal Winter Olympics celebrations. The bank organised a lively corporate pop-up event for staff, packed with activities, talks, and entertainment. Naturally, we arrived with trays full of our brownies ready for tastings.
From the moment the doors opened, people gathered around our table. The smell of fresh chocolate brownies certainly helped. Staff stopped by, chatted with us, and sampled the brownies. Many returned for seconds. Some even brought colleagues along to try them too. The response blew us away!
We brought plenty of brownies for tastings and sales. Even so, they disappeared far faster than expected. In fact, we sold out long before the event finished. People kept coming back to the table hoping for one last piece. But sadly by then, every single brownie had gone.
Moments like that remind us why we love our job so much.
We meet brilliant people, hear their stories, and share what we create. The atmosphere felt warm, friendly, and full of energy all day.
Another highlight came from an inspiring talk by Taylor Lawrence. As a lifelong fan of winter sports, I felt genuinely honoured to meet him. Listening to his journey, dedication, and Olympic experiences made the event even more special.
The whole day blended nostalgia, sport, and brownies into one unforgettable experience. I stepped into a childhood dream, shared our brownies with an amazing crowd, and left with empty trays.
A huge thank you to NatWest for inviting us to be part of such a fantastic corporate pop-up event. We loved every minute.
