🏆 Family Business Entrepreneurs of the Year 2024

Update from BATB HQ

From brownies and blondies to chocolate logs (and much more)! So much has happened since we last caught up, so let’s start at the beginning.

Our business turned 5…

First and foremost, our business turned 5 years old! This feels like a huge achievement for us. To have survived a global pandemic and the fallout that was to follow, feels immense.

The humble beginnings of our Suffolk family bakery.

We had such enormous high hopes when we started our business in 2019. Brownies and blondies from a mobile cafe- it was a simple concept! Little did we know of the madness that was to follow. The original idea of our business was to create jobs for ourselves that would enable us to raise our children together. There have been many highs and many lows but we are thrilled to still be doing what we love! Thank you all so much for your continued support, it means the world.

We celebrated 12 years of being together…

Bean Daddy and I met at a world music festival 12 years ago. We dreamt of having our own food/ drink business and living the festival lifestyle. It’s incredible to think that all these years later, we get to do this as our jobs!

It all started off with selling our brownies and blondies in person from our mobile cafe. Once the pandemic hit, we moved to selling our brownies and blondies by post across the UK. Thankfully this has led to a very lovely pivot of our business and things have grown from there.

Speaking of music festivals…

We were back at Latitude Festival this year. Last year we were fortunate enough to have won our pitch. To be able to come back to the festival under our own terms was unbelievable! We sold thousands of brownies and blondies over the weekend, along with thousands of cups of coffee and tea! Everyone had a brilliant time and we sung our hearts out to Rick Ashley. What a weekend!

We also celebrated Christmas in July…

This year we wanted to do something extra special for our corporate gifting customers. They are all very familiar with our brownies and blondies, but this time around, we wanted to send them something spectacular. Enter our salted caramel Christmas log! Bean Daddy worked around the clock to get hundreds of them sent out to our fabulous corporate customers. They seem to have been very well received, so we will be expecting to make a few thousand more later on in the year- hehehe!

We said goodbye to our July brownies and blondies…

Each year our July box is a HUGE success. We’re always surprised to find ourselves to busy during the holiday period. We’ve switched our brownies and blondies over to the August flavours. They have a holiday theme and we created out of pure nostalgia and love.

Thank you

We are so grateful that you continue to support our family dream. We couldn’t do this without you.
