We have noticed a lot of new faces around here and thought we would take the opportunity to re-introduce ourselves. Here’s the story behind our wholesale cakes, bakes and treats! ????
We are Mama Bean (Charlotte) and Bean Daddy (Luke)! Luke and I have been married for many wonderful years and are the faces behind Brownie and The Bean! ????
Our business began almost 4 years ago! We started out as a mobile Café operating from our beloved trailer Beryl. But things changed a lot at the start of 2020, just like for many of us. So we decided to focus on making chocolate brownies for delivery using Luke’s secret family recipe!
Things have definitely changed over our 4 years in business. There have been many highs and lows, but we couldn’t be happier with how it has grown! We now supply wholesale cakes, bakes, and treats to lots of different retail outlets across the UK. That’s not all, we also have an online brownie delivery business that serves many corporate clients and supplies events.
With the help of “Super Sue” (our Sous Chef) we are passionately dedicated to creating delicious food and supporting other local businesses in the process. The eggs we use in our baking come from our local farm. The sugar we use comes from just up the road. Our flour is made using Norfolk grown wheat. The chocolate we use is ethically sourced and produced in Britain. How’s about that for shopping local?
We make many of our special ingredients by hand, like jams, candied oranges, caramel sauces, and pralines. It takes a lot of work, but we LOVE doing it!
