It’s not all “(cup) cakes and rainbows”

Whatever ever you do, don’t press THAT button!

Well I couldn’t help myself could I? There I was trying to get ahead with tidying up the subscriptions to our newsletter ahead of our big winter cake launch, when BAM, I hit the wrong button. It was a painstaking exercise without making this HUGE mistake, and in the summer holidays too… what was I thinking?

Sadly, deleting the subscriptions to our newsletter wasn’t the only mischief I got up to! I also managed to delete every single website review we’d ever had! Yes I know what you’re thinking “who allowed her to be in charge of technology?”. Well if the truth be told, Luke is far worse than me, so it was a no brainer.

The reviews we had on our website, we’d been collecting for the last 3 years. I know it might sound a bit sad, but we absolutely LOVE scrolling through them from time to time. It’s so lovely to read people’s thoughts about our products and also remind ourselves of flavours we’ve had over the years.

Bean Daddy is stood in his branded t-shirt, wearing an apron in the bakery. There is a green chopping board behind him where he cuts his cake and there's a disco glitter ball hanging in the background.

All is not lost!

Thanks to the immense kindness of our wonderful customers, we were able to get some lovely new reviews. We put a call our for reviews via social media and were absolutely floored by the outpouring from you all! We had reviews flying in from Google, Facebook and on our website and they’ve really helped to cheer me up!

What happened with our subscriptions?

Well, it took almost a day, but I managed to go through every single email that had found it’s way to the bin and reinstate all of the subscribers! If you’re concerned at all that you might not be getting our newsletter, or would like to sign up to our newsletter, head to our homepage and scroll to the bottom. There you’ll find a short form, where you can enter your information!
